Valentine’s day- Not only for couples

Valentines Day. Who says that this day should be restricted only to romantic love? No other day can conjure such powerful imagery of chocolate, flowers, romance and love. It is a commercially driven day that provokes strongly divided reactions to the bewildering display of hearts, and starry-eyed romance. For those in stable, loving relationships, the day offers a wonderful opportunity to express or reaffirm their love. For those who are recently bereaved, divorced, or single, this is a day that can trigger feelings of overwhelming loneliness and grief.

While Valentine’s Day is merely an arbitrary day that we use as a light hearted way to express our feelings to our partners, it is also true that this day sustains the myth that all couples are happy. With divorce rates where they are in North America, it is apparent that not all couples are “loving”. Without intending to bash this “feel-good” day, after all, we can all benefit from an expression of love, it seems that Valentines Day may be more widely accepted if it was truly a day for love. Not just romantic love between couples, but love in all of its forms.

valentines-day-red-heart-rose-arrow-7573082

It’s not about that why we express our feelings on a particular day. We can express our feelings in any moment but that particular day gives us a positivity in our mind that we should express our feeling on this day. In this world everyone wants to be feel special so it’s not wrong to give a special feeling on this special day to your loved ones. We can create some memorable moments on this occasion for our loved ones rather for our partner, for our friends who loves us a lot, for any one who give u a special feel in any phase or our life.

Best idea to celebrate this day & to make memorable is to reunion those moments which we spent with our love & to recollect that precious moments which can bring a smile on your face when you think about those moments.
Many people who find themselves alone on this day, struggle with past hurts, grief, and feelings of inadequacy. While they are bombarded with images of happy couples, it is important that they remember that their identity is not defined by their relationship status. A person’s worth comes from who they are, not who they are with. While most would agree that this is true, it doesn’t dull the inevitable feelings of self-doubt and inadequacy that arise when besieged by the ubiquitous love heart at every turn.

What about a perspective change? What if we were to adopt the idea that Valentines Day is not just for couples, but for everybody? While your friends might be buying flowers for their partners, consider the people in your world that you love, and that love you back. Something special for your Mom, a telephone call to your Dad. Perhaps your daughter would appreciate flowers as much as any lover would. Maybe spending the evening with your son watching a hockey game would be one way to express your particular brand of love. Random acts of kindness can bring a surprisingly wonderful sense of well-being.

happy-valentine-day-2015

For those who struggle with this day, it might be helpful to spend time with friends or family – people with whom you have already established positive, loving relationships. It could be a time to focus on what you have, rather than on what you feel you’re missing. Create new traditions. Invite your single friends over for dinner, take cookies to your neighbor who is always there for you, eat chocolate!
Valentines Day offers us a unique opportunity to undertake a new perspective on how we choose to celebrate love. The traditional approach with flowers, cards, and romance works beautifully for some. For others, a display of love towards children, parents, or friends can be equally rewarding. But in the midst of all the various means of displaying love to others, let us not forget the benefits of looking after our own needs. This Valentine’s Day, offer yourself the same thing you give to all of the loved ones in your life, and make the effort to show yourself a little love!

Dhanteras Katha
Every festive day or celebration has a reason to it. This Diwali celebrate dhanteras on 21st October and know the story and significance of Dhanteras. There are two prime stories of Dhanteras;
Birth of Lord Dhanvantri
Lord Dhanvantari – the physician of Gods was born on this day. Lord Dhanvantri is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, who emerged during Samudra manthan. He appeared holding a Ayurvedic kalash which was meant for the welfare of the mankind. Hence, we worship Lord Dhanvantri for good health on Dhanteras. Sing Lord Dhanvantri Aarti and chant effective mantra on Dhanteras and please him.

Dhanteras Katha – Significance of Yamdeep daan
Story of Dhanteras is related King Hima’s son and his intelligent wife. It was predicted that King Hima would die on fourth day of his marriage due to snakebite. When his wife came to know about this she decided not to let her husband die and for this she made a plan. On the fourth day of their marriage she did not let her husband sleep. She collected all the jewellery and wealth and kept it at the entrance. She also lighted lamps all around the place and started telling stories and sings songs, so that her husband does not sleep.
During midnight Lord Yama arrived in the form of a snake. The bright lights of the lamps blinded his eyes and he could not enter the chamber. So he climbed on top of the heap of the ornaments and coins and sat there whole night listening to the melodious songs. In the morning he quietly went away. Thus, the wife saved her husband’s life. Since then dhanteras is also known as the day of ‘Yamadeepdaan’ and this gave rise to tradition of lighting lamps and keep them burning throughout night.
Have and happy and healthy Dhanteras 2014! Worship Lord dhanvantri the form of Lord Vishnu.

Dhanteras or Dhantrayodashi is the first day of Diwali celebration. “Dhan” stands for wealth and teras signify thirteenth day. So Dhanteras is celebrated on trayodashi of Kartik Krishna Paksha. This year i.e. Dhanteras 2014 will be celebrated on Tuesday, 21st October 2014.

After hundred years of strict fasting and austerity lord Shiva accepted her as his wife.it is said that Goddess Parvathi fasts on this day to impress the lord Shiva. Quick Stress Relievers

Quick Stress Relievers
Work is stressful — that’s why God (and/or HR) created vacation days. In the same way in our jobs we should take little breaks after a time gap to relax yourself.
So now you are thinking that how to relax yourself in office without doing exercise or taking some rest…how..???
All the working people have no time for exercise so in your jobs don’t ignore your health. Nowadays everyone is using computers in office and their work involves sitting on desk for most hours. So this minimizing body movement and in turn gaining weight and also increase the strain on your back, eyes and neck.
So here is some exercise to overcome from all these which you can do in your office.
Eyes

Continuous staring at computer screen can take a great toll on your eyes. So it is very important that you take a break to relax your eyes after every 30 minutes or so. Shift your focus from computer screen and look elsewhere. This helps to promote eye movement and prevent eye irritation and headaches.
Neck
palming-with-cushions
To stretch your neck at regular intervals – slowly move your head forward, backward and then side to side. This exercise can be done at any time of the day and has no limits, Just a word of caution, if you suffer with cervical/spondylitis pains Don’t stretch your neck downwards.
Wrists
neckexercises
If your work involves a lot of typing then it is necessary to exercise your wrists almost every hour. Stretch both your arm forward, roll your wrists 10 times clockwise and then 10 times anticlockwise. Do it as many times as possible in a day to prevent Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.
Ankles

Just like wrists you should roll your ankles regularly to improve blood circulation and prevent tingling feeling that you can get when blood circulation is cut off. While sitting on your chair stretch both your legs forward. Now roll both your ankles in clockwise and then counterclockwise direction. Repeat this motion thrice each time you perform it.
Abdomen
wrist-stretch
You don’t have to leave your chair to perform abdomen exercise. Sit upright on your chair with your spine straight, contract your abdominal and gluteal muscles, hold them for a count of five and then release. Repeat this after every few minutes all through the day.
Ergonomic Stretches_clip_image026
Walk Around
Take a quick walk around the block or do a few flights of stairs at a comfortable pace. Getting up and moving helps keep your blood flowing, sending oxygen to your brain. You’ll clear your mind and recharge yourself.
Take Deep Breaths
When you feel tension building, push back from your desk, close your eyes, visualize a “happy place” and take five to 10 deep, relaxing breaths to bring yourself back to a calm place and again focus your mind. This also works if you’re stuck in traffic — just keep your eyes on the road!
These ecercise canb be easily perform in your office without being center of attraction for your colleagues. Always remember health is wealth and to take out sometime for yourself from the busiest work schedule. Just exercise to feel relaxed and experience an improved you.
